1-1 ballgame going into the 5th. Lincolnton pitcher Taylor Shelton had to leave the game after getting hit on the right hand by a pitch in bottom of the 4th inning. The Lady Wolves never got back on track after that. Linconton hit the ball well early, but could not capitalize leaving bases loaded in the 2nd.

Laci Graney had 4 hits, and Jackie Deyoung had her first 3B as a Viking. 0

Great plays on defense were made by Graney, Danille Poff, and Kendall Honeycutt.

Audrey Kell West Meck 7-3 For the first time West scores against Audrey Kell the West team has much improved.They had 3 players playing out of their usual positions.The pitcher once again great job,the infield great.West tripled the number of hits they received last year.This team is often over-looked beacause of where they attend school,but this team is really packed with talent.

5 inning game was filled with errors mixed between hits that allowed HC to quickly rack up the points.
Overhills batters hit well but the HC defense swarmed the field turning several sure fire base hits into outs by getting line drive outfield hits back to first base. I'm sure it was frustrating for those girls to hit the ball that well only to make that right turn back to the dugout.

ER Kayla Kirk stays hot,she does'nt
crush it,but she seems to get on every time she bats.The rest of the team seems to be finding the ball and getting the offense needed to win.

The NI team is young but very,very good.Look for good things to come from these girls over the next couple years.
