Did get to see our buddy KC Shue though! :)

From the score, I'm sure it was a good game!

Another great game by Lexi Betancourt. Entertaining game too, Holly Springs has come a long way with their program.

    Porter Ridge vs. AL Brown

Thursday 4/23 Porter Ridge 9 AL Brown 1
Alexis Davis with solo HR. and the team
manufactured runs up and down the lineup. Good job!

    Friday 4/24 Porter Ridge 10 Anson 1

Kayla dresser had a solo HR and 3 rbi's night as well as Jessica Stewart hit well with 3 rbi's. Alexis Davis helped out producing 2 rbi's on a 2 out single. Alexis pitched well with 13 k's Anson would not go down with out a fight and had bases loaded (2) times, only to come away with 1 run.

    Hopewell - 5
    Central Cabarrus - 1

    WP: Lindsay Russell
    LP: Melena Helms

Well played rivalry game within conference. Central scored in the top of 2nd. Hopewell came back to tie game in bottom of 3rd with rbi ground out to second base. In bottom of sixth, Hopewell tallied 4 runs to complete the scoring. Total team effort by Hopewell, as everyone in the lineup contributed in one form or another.

Hopewell Rbi's - Cooke, Schelling (2), Spain, Franklin
    Doubles: Cooke, Schelling, Spain,
Runs scored - Franklin, Braman, Cooke, Russell, S. Randall

Complete game thrown by Lindsay Russell. 4 or 5 hitter, not sure of K's. Only 1 BB.

A really good pitcher and catcher make all the difference in the world and this year Holly Springs has them.

Just when I think I can't be any more impressed with Lexi Betancourt she impresses me yet again. She pitched to a couple of batters tonight that other teams intentionally walk. It was obvious that they were going to hit it where Lexi wanted it hit or they weren't going to hit at all. Even if she had to give up a walk. She was completely oblivious to her stats. She is one of the most unselfish team players I've ever seen. West has only allowed 3 runs in conference this year. Having the strength of a pitcher like Lexi has allowed ALL of our players playing time most of the time. Even in a tough game such as this one everyone played.
