    two sides

    i don't think this is a good place to talk about this sort thing, there are always two sides to every story. I agree a time and a place to handle things but sometimes things just happen. The parent in this story is a good parent and his dd is a very good kid and ball player.

    our female coach gave to ump a good talking to the other day on call that handed the other team a 1-0 victory. Again two sides to this story also.

    Hey, this is a good parent and his dd is a good player. The coach was never touched , witness""by a side person watching"". This is High school,you play to win.
    Also,If this coach was right "Why walk off and then tell a fib"
    This school needs TO SAY, "no coaching until all is finalized".

    You heard wrong!!!!! His daughter has always been a starter since freshman year and was the team MVP, given by the same coach. So dont repeat rumors if you dont know what you are talking about. It wasnt over playing time. Coaches should take the time to learn the game themselves before trying to teach kids.

    Hey Cheese, you said unfortunate decision on the part of the officer. Were you there? Cause even the general public is innocent until proven guilty? Why is it different if its an officer???

    I am reluctant to chime in here and I hope that rationale heads and common sense prevail in this matter but....

    from a legal perspective there need not be a "touching" for an assault to occur.

    I wasnt there and dont know the details just giving the correct legal definition of assault in the hopes that being informed helps to prevent this type of scenario occurring in the future.

    if you read my original statement, it said officer or any parent....however, officers of the law are held to a higher standard. was i there.......nope, but told in confidence what happened by someone who was there.

    my point was that its unfortunate for any parent to confront a coach in front of the their kid or the coaches players. I can not think of one good reason to commit this mistake. is he guilty????? not my call or my job to make this decision.

    my point is now and always has been "TIME AND PLACE".
