    I haven't seen a LKN game this year. Looks like they are doing really well.
    Is this an all freshmen team? I have heard that it is. Good luck the rest of the season.

    ACHS Defeats Freedom

    Resume of game from Friday.

    ACHS 5
    Freedom 2

    WP: Chelsea Wilkinson

    ACHS held Freedom to 1 hit and scoring all 5 of their runs in the 2nd inning. Freedom scored 2 runs in the 6th. Good game.

    I enjoyed being back at Central Park and seeing my friends in Alexander County. Good to see Mr Burke, Raeford, Mike, Russell and many more. Sorry I missed talking with you Monte, catch you next time. Lots of improvements since I was there last year. Beautiful park and view of the mountains in the background. A great place to watch HS softball at it's finest.

    Hats off to a good SM squad they did everything they needed to do to hand Butler its first conference loss in quite a few seasons.
    A five run second inning that included a two run bomb off of our scoreboard put SM ahead 5 to 2 and they added a run in the fifth I think. Butler stranded a lot of base runners tonight and SM came up with some fielding gems to cut short two Butler rally's.
