    Here are a couple

    Joe Somebody .368
Plays in a very tough conference and plays on one of top teams in that conference. Sees everyones best arm every game out. Gets pitched extremely tough and hardly ever gets a fastball over the plate. His team plays a very tough non conference schedule as well.

The stats are kept by someone that understands how to actually score a hit , error , fielders choice etc.

    Bob Somebody .668
Plays in a very weak conference and plays on one of the worst teams in that conference. Sees everyones worse arm because they can beat them with me on the hill. Routinely sees great pitches to hit because the pitchers are just trying to throw a strike. Plays a very weak non conf schedule as well.

The stats are kept by someone that has no clue how to actually score a hit , error , fielders choice etc.

This is not directed at any of the players mentioned in this thread I am sure they are all very fine players. And if others want to post Batting Averages fine. But comparisons of hs batting averages are no indication of ability unless everyone is hitting off the same level of competition on a routine basis. And that just doesnt happen.

And we wont even begin to talk about hs pitchers era's as far as comparing ability.

    I would agree

If everyone was on the same level. Apples to apples not apples to pineapples. This is even true in the next level. It is all how you see it.

This is where it is at.

Yup. You got it again 27. It is what it is.

We need a new stat. CTPB. Its that something that is unmeasurable. I call it Can They Play Ball. CTPB for short. You can't measure it with numbers and thats the problem but you sure can tell it by watching.

You can see a lot from just watching. Help me out Yogi.

Yogi would probably tell you that you can't see a lot from watching, but you can from looking.
