CAP 7 Millbrook at Sanderson 4/28/09

Second good pitching duel of the season between Millbrook's Jake Harris (ECU) and Sanderson's Charles Wolfe. Millbrook swept the season series with wins of 3-2 and 3-0 in the latest game. Millbrook got timely hits in the fifth with two runs.

In tonights game Harris had a CG with 10K, 2W and -0-runs.
Wolfe also threw a CG with 4K, 1W and 3 runs- I believe 2 ER.

    Millbrook -
    P. Hanks 2-4, dbl, rbi
    B. Lincoln 1-4, dbl, 2rbi
    J. Harris 1-3
    J. Abbott 1-3
    G. Redmond 1-3
    B. Kass 1-2

    Sanderson
    K. Wood 1-2, W
    T. Trumps 1-2, W
    C. Wolfe 1-3
    M. Gagnon 1-3
    D. Adams 1-3

    This week - Next game

    Bob

Still chuckling over one of the defensive plays from the game.

2 outs with Wood on first. Millbrook coach tells the players in the field to "hold their ground". On the pitch, Wood takes off to second and catcher throws down. Balls goes on into the outfield while SS and 2B are looking at each other "holding their ground".
