I remember and I was wondering was going on! Looked like our play when we threw down and no one covered either. So it is Millbrook 1, Sanderson 1 on throw down miscues by the infield. Catcher throws down, infield catches and tags the runner!

Ragsdale 10 Southeast Guilford 0 five innings

    Ragsdale--- 10 12 1
    SE Guilford- 0 1 2

Nick McBride (8-0) struck out five in four innings of no hit, no walk ball. Gave way to Bennett Hixson who got two outs before SE broke up the no hitter with a single to right.

Kyle Brandenburg was 3-4, DB, 3B, 3 runs and 2 RBIs. Went for the cycle in the fifth but got under the pitch. Ben Fultz was 2-3, Sac Fly, 4 RBIs, run. Ryan Andrejco was 3-3, DB, RBI, run. Mike Whited 1-3, DB, 3 RBIs. Joe Bright 1-2, run. DeSean Anderson 1-3, DB, run. Nick McBride 1-3, DB, run.

Lots of scouts out again to see McBride pitch. He didn't disappoint. Ragsdale is 20-2, 11-1. Next game will be next week in te semis of the conference tourney. Fanatastic regular season for Ragsdale.

    SOUTHWEST 12 GLENN 1

    Southwest Guilford 12 Glenn 1

Southwest wins the outright regular season conference title with a convincing win over the Glenn Bobcats. On Senior Night the Cowboys celebrated four seniors, Will Kellam, Bo Rein (NC A & T Baseball scholarship), Seth Blair, and Ethan Ogburn (NC State Baseball scholarship).

The Cowboys bats and Ethan Ogburn were the story tonite. The bats were led by Bo Rein who had a home run, a double and four big Rbi's. Cal Sutphin was 3-3 with a double, two singles, an rbi and 3 runs scored. Brock Hudgens had a double and a single. Ethan Ogburn had an rbi single and Will Kellam again added another big hit.

Ethan Ogburn was basically perfect on the mound - the games leadoff hitter hit a ball that looked to hit off his foot, it dribbled to the thirdbaseman who appeared to throw him out at first, yet neither ump saw it hit the runner and they ruled the runner safe at first with an infield hit. After that Ethan only struck out 13 of the next 15 batters, the other two were retired on infield ground balls.

With the number 1 seed in the state playoffs secured the Cowboys play a tune up on Saturday evening at 6:30 at Finch Field against State Title winner Wesleyan. Then the conference tournament will begin on Monday with the semi finals on Tuesday at Glenn.
