I'm chasing a story about an area player with 12 home runs this season.

Can you folks tell me other leading home run hitters, and how many they have ?

    Thanks,

    Cliff Mehrtens (Charlotte Observer)

someone will post with the details-- "Mincimi"-- but Brad Collins at Weddington (has a lot) and Tyler Zupcic at Providence has quite a few...and Zupcic's specialty is the walkoff HR

Jake has 10 home runs this season. ( so far).
Jake is a senior 1st baseman who also pitches.

Last I heard, Wil Myers had 11 homeruns through his first 14 games. Wesleyan has had a lot of games rained out.

Hey Cliff, you guys (Charlotte Observer) used to put these type of stats (ERA's, HR's, K's, batting averages, etc, etc) in the paper on a regular basis. This year there is nothing! What happened???? Heck, if it wasn't for you writing articles from time to time about some of the HS games, there wouldn't anything! Very disappointed in the coverage the paper gives the local boys when it comes to baseball!

This is about like batting averages..

Joe Somebody plays all his home games in a ballpark that is 310 down the line and 340 straight away and most of his conference, as well, has little fields.
    then there is
Joe Nobody who plays all his home games where it is 320 down the lines and 375 straight away.
He hits many deep fly balls for outs at home that would be in the woods at Joe Somebody's park.
I've seen to many names on that list for home runs that I would'nt pick to be on my team.
