Now that is funny. It sure didn't take a rocket scientist to see right through the purpose of this thread. I love it when people try to act like it isn't about winning and losing but just about the girls enjoying themselves. Yeah, ok.

Now, DDD, I know you're smart about sports, especially softball, and I do respect anyone as yourself to step up and hold your ground when you think that someones stepped over the line.
As I've read the bantering back and forth between you and phreak, well, both of you VALUABLE contributors of knowledge to TBR are going nowhere.
I'm not takig sides with either of you guys, nor am I taking sides on the subject of TB vs. HS.
TB vs. HS arguements will never be settled without all of us, yes, you DDD, and you Phreak, coming together to make good things happen for the kids.
Both of you guys are salt of the earth, kids first men, who have found yourselves bitching at each other....all while in the end, will see that ya'll agree on whats best for the kids.

Thanks for your effort at peacemaking.

I am comfortable with why I coach and I know that you and others who know me realize that I try to make the softball experience as rewarding as I can for all the kids I deal with.

I've seen no indication in the posts I've read in this thread or others where ddd shows that same ambition. In my opinion, it seems he mostly wants to show how much he knows--not how much he cares about the players.

I have no desire to shake hands. I consider myself the one offended by all the sarcasm. I have more important things to do than be concerned with someone like that. It's no big deal. I still stand by my opinion of it being wrong to keep players from participating in the Games.

Phreak...we need more guys like you coaching travel ball. I bet more girls would stay in it and the level of competition would go up. Thanks for putting the girls first. You are the man.
