    Pairings for Thursday first Round
    At Butler -
    5:00 pm #4 Weddington vs # 5 East Meck
    7:00 pm #1 Butler vs # 8 Independence

    At Providence -
    5:00 pm # 3 Ardrey Kell vs # 6 Myers Park
    7:00 pm # 2 Providence vs # 7 South Meck

    Friday at Butler -
    5:00 pm - Winner 5pm game v. Winner 7pm game (Providence HS games)
    7:00 pm - Winner 5pm game v. Winner 7pm game (Butler HS games)

    $5 admission
    Championship is at UNCC Monday night.

    Correction


    Correction, Due to the weather and Baseball not completing their regular season yet, UNCC will not host just the softball final, I guess it was both or nothing.
    The finals will be at Butler on Monday night.

    It looks like the weather may again be a factor for tonight.
    What say you Guru?
    I need an accurate forecast, and your track record is better then any TV talking weather head out there.

    Front Has Moved Through Area !!


    First of a series of fronts have moved through the Meck / Union area and will settle just south of our area later this A.M. and dissipate, but there is still a chance of isolated storms south of I-85 later today, but they will be isolated in nature. The only draw back is how much rain has already fallen ?? Is it enough to keep games from playing tonight,no more rain is on the radar as far back as the central USA. Another cold front will pass through our area over the weekend ,and stall once again just south of us becoming a triggering zone for more severe weather by late Sunday. The good news is that the pattern is getting ready to change, but with change comes hot summer weather as a strong ridge will build into the S.E.....so hold on everybody the rain will become less and less by the middle of next week !!! Then comes the sun screen for the duration of May !!!

    Damn hes good you missed your calling my friend.

    Our field at Butler was in just about perfect condition with just the right amount of moisture. And to think the infield was under water at 4pm yesterday afternoon. We only had to nail drag it let it dry did it again and the field came around.

    Should be a lot of fun to watch.

    Not quite sure how Butler was able to hold onto #4 ranking while Spurrier has been out.....looked like they went through a rough patch without her on the mound. It appears there are concessions made in the coaches' rankings if your #1 pitcher is hurt. (losses don't count?)

    Is Spurrier back in time for the conf tourney and playoffs? They'll need her healthy if they plan on making another run to Walnut Creek!

    C'mon back, KS...and roll those Dawgs to Raleigh!!!!
