Anyone knows what happens with the tie for third between Central Cabarrus and Robinson assuming Central beats Mallard Creek Monday, will they flip a coin or what?

Normally head to head ties are broken by record against the #1 team; if they both did the same against North it would go to the #2 etc. If they both had the same exact records against the other conference teams then there would likely be a playoff game for the #3 seed.

For instance if North beat Central both times but Robinson beat North once then Robinson gets the higher seed based on record against the #1 team.

It may have changed but I think this is what they use.

    Queen City 3a/4a

    4A #1 West Meck 9-1
    #2 Berry or Harding

    3A #1 Catholic 8-2
    #2 Olympic 7-3

Looks like Weddington at West Meck and Hunter Huss at Catholic in the first round of the playoffs.

Central and Robinson split, both split with Hopewell and were swept by North, but i thought there was only a playoff game if it was for the last playoff spot, i thought there was just a coin flip?

Not sure of exact rules or bylaws with regards to how a tie is broken, if everything is as you stated. Not sure if coin flip will necessarily be used in this scenario. They might first take a look at run differential in head to head games, or something similar. I would think an announcement would be forthcoming during the early part of this coming week.

    Coin Flip

According to the paper this morning, if CC beats Mallard Creek, it will be decided by a coin flip.

In my opinion 4th place gets an easier game than third, 4th would play HP Central and 3rd would play Davie County

Surely someone on TBR knows something about Southern Piedmont 2A! Is West Lincoln their #1? Maybe South Iredell #2...?
