Fred T. Foard is a great hitting team averaging 7 runs a game. They have 25 homeruns this year as a team led by

    Jacob Bradshaw-6
    Gage Ward-6
    Robert McKinney-5
    Landon Ishenhour-4
    Tyler Wharton-3
    Skyler Hollar-1

The only thing they have to worry about is pitching. They have only have one dominant pitcher in McKinney. Mitchell Henderson is a Sub-par pitcher and Skyler Hollar isn't that bad.

If they get by the first round of the play-offs they will be a very dangerous ball club for their second round match-up.

    change

my how the game has changed...............25-30 years ago (yes with metal bats), it would take at least 5 years for a very good HS baseball program to hit 25 homers.

I'm not sure that home run totals indicate how great a hitting team anyone has. I like to look at the total picture, (BA, doubles, triples, walks, HR, OBP, etc.)
For instance, Ragsdale is averaging 8.8 points per game.
They have 53 doubles, 9 triples, but only 9 home runs.
    Team batting average is .343.

Also, Ragsdale has 64 stolen bases in 70 attempts. Excellent.

Here's the bad news for all the western 3A teams. Ragsdale has only given up 24 runs in 24 games. (1 per game)

Wilson Hunt probadly has 20 or more. (Jake Strickland has 11 on his own)

karlrocket, TC Roberson has got to have 20+ HR's too. Those guys can flat out hit the baseball 1-9.

Not sure I understand this part of your post. I assume they might "get by the first round" using McKinney. Based on your analysis of Henderson and Hollar, how does that make them a "dangerous ball club for their second round match-up"?

Are they an above average team defensively? What happens to them if they perceive umpires making bad calls? Does the coaching staff do a good job with scouting reports, preparations, and adjustments?
