    The NW4A Championship Game between Watauga vs South Caldwell has been postponed due to impending weather.

    It will be played Monday at 7:00 at MS Deal Stadium.​

    The NW4A Championship Game between Watauga vs South Caldwell has been postponed AGAIN due to impending weather.​

    It will be played Tuesday at 6:30 at Watauga High School, Gates open at 5:30 and only state issued passes will be accepted.​

    This is why this tournament should be taken away from Caldwell Middle School. Yes, its a great field to play at when its ready and maintained but they seem unwilling to work with the conference to schedule the games and they are way to quick on the trigger to call games. We should have played Saturday and we should have played tonight. In the new league, the tournament should be at Jim and Bettie Smith Stadium at ASU or LP Frans Stadium in Hickory or Lenior Rhyne College. We will not play at MS Deal tomorrow because of their Middle School tournament (whoopie).

    AC Reynolds vs East Burke in the play in game for the leagues #4 seed will be held tonight at 7:00 PM at McDowell High School.

    By any chance you coming down tonight to watch?

    BTW, I agree with the whole getting the field ready deal, they could have squeezed that in Saturday. The biggest problem for the constant delays is that it throws any idea of setting the rotation out of order.

    I know for sure Coach Smith has been working hard to get our field ready for the play-in game.

    Tournament

    Ok, guys, go easy on the field crew! An honest and dependable pair of eyes actually drove to Deal Stadium on Saturday and saw the puddles and agreed there was no way to play. Hickory Crawdads (about 5 miles down the road) also got rained out. Believe me - I want this game played! I keep having to come up with plan B for cooking dinner! :annoyed:

    I don't see anyway to have played today. Saturday was ok till the big storm came through. After that getting a field ready down here would have been very hard. Thing is the ground is saturated and all that falls just don't soak in. We had over 5"s of rain in caldwell co. last week and a bunch more today. This wasn't the only event cancelled sat or today. As for the middle school tourney. they are just as important as the high school tournament.
