Wake Forest-Rolesville sent the Middle School team to play so they could save the varsity players for the more important games. Wake Forest-Rolesville Rules!

That was the first Cap 7 Conference Tournament. If it's not important I wonder why someone wasted time organizing it. I guess tomorrow determines who rules!

Leesville Road upset Wakefield 2-0 to take the 1st ever CAP 7 Conference Tournament Championship. Senior pitcher Kristen Zimmerman hurled 16K's in the win and Junior Liz Hawryluk drove in the only runs late in the game on a two run single up the middle. Congrats to the Leesville Road Pride. GO PRIDE!!!

First off, congrats to Leesville on winning the CAP 7 conference tournament. They have a very well run varsity program and a coach that we have a great deal of respect for.

Second, speaking for WFR, we did send our JV pitcher along with 5 JV players and our varsity reserves to play the tournament. We did this to get some younger girls an opportunity to experience playing on the varsity level and to get our reserve players a full game worth of fielding and at-bats. We got everything we wanted out of the tournament and our focus is now solely on the first round of the state playoffs.

Best of luck to the CAP-7 for the state playoffs.

    .....do what?!!!!
That move is just plain and simple a slap in the face to the conference and the other teams, and the kids who play, and give their time, win or lose.
If you wanted to play the JV kids then why did you not put them in during the regular season?
I have NO respect what-so-ever for folks pulling BS like this....AND DAMN, its the first Cap 7 tourn. ever!
WFR coaches have dropped the ball on this one.

Wow!! I've just got an empty feeling about the whole thing! I don't think I can say it any more clearly than you have so I'll just say I agree with you.

    Get over it!

Softballphreak and Marlin, playing in this conference tournament would have done nothing to prepare our team for the state playoffs. Seriously, get over it.
