    state record for home runs in a season

    one of our members asked me to research the north carolina record for most home runs in a season (this includes playoffs and conference/non-conference games)

    record held by:

    Ms Ashley Jones from East Davidson, 2004 with 12 home runs. (of course, this is the last update to the nc records and may not be current, but close).

    this young lady with 10 home runs puts her in a large tie for second place with some well known names.

    That is AMAZING. How many of these are actual homeruns...out of the park? 200 foot fence?

    Most but not all!

    Just an estimation but 10 to 12 have been hit long in parks with no fencing. Most of them would have been out if there had been one. The others were all OTF homeruns at 200+ fences.

    Let me say that I know that we have had LOTS of banter about stats but regardless a HR is a HR.
    This has NEVER been done at our school and may never be again but it sure has been fun to watch! You almost expect to see one every time we play.
