Congratulations to Tanner Beck and Parkland. Everyone in the Ragsdale community was happy for him. Definitely everyone that knew him and/or his father. Way to go Tanner!

True class, One Putt. You guys were in an awkward position tonight because obviously you want to advance but at the same time you can't help but feel good for Tanner in that situation. You guys still had a great season, only one team will be happy in the end anyway

not quite right - but the young man had one helluva game considering what he was dealing with.

Tanner hit a solo game tying home run in the fourth then led off the seventh with the score tied 2-2, singled and scored the eventual game winning run when J? Clark the #9 hitter singled him in with the bases loaded.

Nick Rhodes pitched a great game for Parkland. Complete game, six hits, seven strikeouts and only one walk.

David Coffey started and pitched five innings, giving up four hits ( 2 solo HRs) striking out three with no walks. Bennet Hixson relieved Coffey in the sixth and took the loss. Coffey should have stayed in, not to mention that Nick McBride never saw the mound.

Sad to see such a great team go down in the first round. Ragsdale will never see another team that loaded with talent. Hats off to Parkland. That won that game with a great effort.

That's baseball. It happens. I have to tell you. Many of us felt there was a higher power out there tonight. Some things went their way and some wierd things happened to us. But as much as we wanted to win, the Becks and the Parkland community probably needed it more than we did.

Tonight was a good setting. Many Ragsdale parents and players congratulated Tanner and the Parkland team. I know the pain Tanner is feeling. I lost a parent in high school. You feel pretty lonely. Tonight was a high moment for Tanner and his team. Hopefully it will help him get through this time.

    Congratulations

Congratulations to Parkland on their win over Ragsdale tonight. It was a very emotional game that was close for 5 innings. But you could tell for Parkland, it was about more than a baseball game tonight.
As a Ragsdale parent, I was impressed by the Parkland players and coaches class on, and off, the field. They played a great game.
Good luck to you in the play-offs.

On a side note...Congrats to Tanner on the game-tying homerun.

Roberson shuts down Carson with Curtis' arm, 7-0. Scoreless game determined midway when Roberson broke out of its drought with hits by Fernandez and Toth followed by three-run homer by Price.

    Apex over Holly Springs

Not sure of the final score maybe 12 to 1 as game ended in the 5th inning.

We dodged a bullet Diesel. Dickens mixed skill with an unorthodox delivery to really baffle us. I don't think I have ever seen a pitcher change his delivery during a single at-bat like Dickens. One pitch leg lift high, next pitch leg lift low, third pitch leg lift out while bringing the ball from the side. Definitely intriguing!

If not for Person's errors, our season would be over. Congrats to Coach Davis and his kids. They are a heck of a team. Their shortstop is a player.
