Hoot Gibson.. one of my all time favs. Did you grow up a Cardinals fan? I was at the game where he got his 3000th strike out> He struck out Cesar Geronimo of the Reds. I have an unused ticket from that game where one of our grp didnt go...

Again...don't be so obvious that you are helping the batter.

its part of the game to try to gain an advantage. you've got to be better that than. chin music, buzzing the tower. if you throw at one of mine, thats bush!! and you'll pay later. if the coach, player or bench sees the location its fair game, you still don't know what pitch is coming.

    "tipping the hitter"

We've all seen a kid on 2nd base winging her hand up left or right in an attempt to give a pitch location to a batter.
    I love it!
Distract the batter all you want without even knowing it.
Is it bush? Well, bush, I don't know, but I do know that "tipping" from 2nd base does not help a batter concentrate when she gets in the box.
If I were a catcher, and had a runner at 2nd, I'd make damn sure she could see what "might" be coming to the plate.
batters are the ones that lose concentration by listening to the crowd, mom or dad, holler watch the change up. Batters are the ones that look at the runner on 2B for pitch location. Those are batters.
Hitters are the kids who dig in and block out all of that bullshit!

I saw major bush league this weekend in Concord AAU.

The Comets 10U was beating the Blaze 17-2. It was a 2nd yr 10 vs. a 1st yr 10. The umps final buzzer sounded and everyone knew it was the final inning. The Comets kept stealing bases like it was a tie game (one would think a 15 run cushion is enough for the final inning). When the Blaze coaches asked why this was happening to the Comet coach, he yelled across to his 1st base coach to "keep sending them."

    Thats major bush league.

I guess the inning started and it was only 10-2 and the 7 runs came in the final inn

regardless, you don't steal once the game is out of hand, especially 10u girls. If it were 15 yr old boys, you could drill the kid with a fastball to prove the needed point.

Up north here, coaches like that usually don't get accepted or invited to tournaments. Word gets around about coaches like him. Too bad for the girls.

At a priemier invitational tournament a couple of years ago, a coach came unglued, totally lost it . Dropped the "F" bomb everyother word (around 12U girls). He was of course ejected and he never apologized to the girls. The next year, he applied but was told no. The next year, he applied again and was told that the team (girls) could enter, but he was not welcomed. He declined to enter the team. There is a price to pay when you show your a**(donkey).

We love to have the runner at 2nd base trying to relay pitch location, guess what, if the batter can see the sign being given by the runner, so can our coaches. We just hope the batter is going by the sign the runner relays.
I promise you they wont swing within four feet of the ball..

    Just saw this!

Watching the Alabama/JSU game. Alabama girl on second watching where catcher was setting up and was waiving her hand like an idiot (I hate teams/girls that do this!). She was right and batter pulled it into RC (was an outside pitch to a lefty) scoring a run. First pitch to next batter was high and tight and hit the butt of the bat.

Was that pitch intentional? Who knows. That pitcher had been pitching inside all game...

Worst part is that Alabama was already up 8-0 at the time!
