    I think it's great. First of all he's an execeptional player, but also facing the kind of pitching that the Dirtbags face game in and game out prepared him for this early success. I'm glad he's a Tar Heel.

    I understand your point, but its much more that he's an exceptional player than what he faced as a Dirtbag. Canes, Cubs, South Charlotte Panthers, Dirtbags all face the same pitching in the same events

    Levi gets snubbed on ACC Freshman of the Year. Hutzen from Virginia gets the honor.

    Both Were Worthy!

    1. Danny Hultzen (VA.) .331 3HR 32 Rbi's
    2. Levi Michael (UNC) .299 12HR 49 Rbi's

    Hultzen was also 7-1 on the mound with an 2.28 ERA. That dual role may be why he received this honor!:deal:

    He has made the adjustment well...Cant imagine what kind of season he would have if he had stayed back in HS...Wow.
    He is one of those kids that can just play!

    Godd pitching beats good hitting....

    The pitching stats are exceptional and probably much more difficult to achieve as a freshman than the great hitting stats Michael put up. Both players are off the charts for freshman performance and I imagine it was tough to pick one over the other.

    Virginia may be the team to beat for the next couple of years. Here are some of their other everyday players that are Freshman....

    19 Steven Proscia... .333 8HR 49 Rbi's
    8 John Hicks.......... .323 6HR 31 Rbi's
    25 Will Roberts....... 4-0 4.14 ERA
