    Grreat game in Taylorsville. Megan Laxton's 3 run shot wins it for Cougars !!!
    Big play of the game was two pitches prior to the Laxton homer. The Providence catcher dropped a pop up and Laxton stayed alive. Next up Butler on Tuesday at Central Park. What a great crowd tonight, look for even more Tuesday.

    Laxton swings the hot bat tonight.

    In my opiniion, that was not a routine pop up for the catcher to handle.
    Providence catcher played well all game.
    You are right on about the crowd. Butler game will be standing room only.

    In addition to her 3 run game winning home run, Megan hit another one off the fence in her next at bat. She was dialed in tonight.
    Way to hit the ball Megan!!
    As expected, Providence came to play tonight. Threatened to tie it up in the top of the 7th. Very good team. a real nail biter. Glad it's over.

    I agree it was not a routine play. I did not intend in any way to criticise the young lady. She hustled to the ball but just could not hang on. The 3rd baseman for Providence is an impressive hitter as well as the Pitcher on both the mound and at the plate.
