    Another Way To Look At It!

    In 2007, C.B. Aycock beat Wilson Fike in the 4th round of the playoffs & went on to win the 3A State Championship.

    In 2008, Rocky Mount beat Wilson Fike in the 4th round of the playoffs & went on to win the 3A State Championship.

    In 2009, West Brunswick beat Wilson Fike in the 3th round of the playoffs & went ???????????

    well I guess you could say Andy Partin did when he matched them with Ragsdale in the Impact Invitational back in March. Ragsdale has played in four consecutive Impact Invites. Ragsdale has played an eastern foe every year and is 5-0 (played a double header in 2006) in that tourney.


    2006 - Ragsdale defeats South Central and DH Conley. Conley comes back and wins the two games that really count beating Ragsdale 2 games to 1 in the state championship.

    2007 - Ragsdale beats CB Aycock in the Invite. Aycock goes on to beat Southeast Guilford for the state title.

    2008 - Ragsdale beats Rocky Mount in Cary. Rocky Mount takes the state title against East Rowan.

    2009 - Ragsdale beats Northern Nash 7-0 behind a no-hitter from David Coffey. So it stands to reason the 2009 state champ will be...

    Maybe Ragsdale needs to hold an inter-squad game at the Impact Invitational next year.:idea3:

    Well, with Joyner on the mound today I would not bet against them moving to the next round.

    Well

    here is something everyone needs to know. Because of the rain pushing back Northern Nash and Webbs game if Tyler Joyner goes on the hill for Northern Nash and I expect he will he will probably not be avialable for the entire 2-3 series against Eastern Wayne. And with the weather we are having here in Granville County its possible that the winner will play on three consecutive days. Advantage bigtime to Eastern Wayne by getting their game in today.
