Virginia got absolutely screwed. They travel all the way across the country to participate in a regional with the #1 team in the country, the defending national champions, and the best pitcher in the country (who they will face Friday).

    yes

Bad job here by the committee. That regional is way overloaded.
I also think Fla. State deserved a top 8 national seed.

The NC & SC teams got shuffled pretty good I'd say. Anyway different than some of you predicted. ECU vs. USC should be fun at Greenville.
Does CC have anything for UNC at CH?

Was Duke a bubble team? They had to be close.
ACC with 7 teams in. SEC & Big 12 with 8 teams each.

    Coastal Carolina

will be very tough. They already have a win over UNC in Chapel Hill this year. They have a lhp that is 10-0 on the year and they are a very good team. Kansas is no pushover either. The swept Nebraska this year , took two of three from Texas and they are legit. This should be a very good regional and very competitive.

Dukes RPI killed their chances of getting in. They are much improved and definitely on the right track. But they got to play a tougher non conf schedule if they want to get in the tourney. RPI was around 69 last time I checked due to the out of conf slate.

    Elon

Elon has a shot at Ga. Tech. And I don't mean a "shot" just cause they are in it. I don't know exactly how they will use thier starting arms, it will probably depend on scouting reports. But thier noraml Friday guy is Reyes, who started the SoCon championship game (which they lost to GaSouthern)and was lights out through 5. They pulled to get him ready for this weekend. All year long, pitching has had some problems. But the three starters that have emerged are pretty good. Bullpen has been eratic at best...this is where they have to step up. If so, the defense is solid, and the offense can kill you a number of ways. yes the long ball has been good for them this year...but the line-up can really run, and play small ball as well. This might be a special year for yet another mid-major. I just hope its them.

I agree if they can get support from the bullpen, they can win it in ATL. Chase Austin is having a monster season
