    A couple scores

    In the 2 games I umpired this morning at Alexander Central HS (Wilkes CC was flooded) the scores were:

    On Deck 16u Black 3 Megastars 16u O (On Deck Pitcher was excellent)
    NCBaseball Academy 2011 4 On Deck 16u Black 3 (Tying run nailed at plate to end game)

    Aren't there a lot of players still in the playoffs? I would assume most of these teams are a little undermanned.

    True, but...

    These were the 16U teams (2011) so I don't think they were missing too many - not too many playoff teams left either - From AK - Ratledge and Lang (Panthers)

    Other AK guy - Baker - is on the 2010 Rats.

    Don't kid yourself - the 2011 Rats team is stacked and can play ball. They will give a lot of teams fits this season.

    BOTH of these teams are full of studs. I'm just surprised at the score.
