Congrats 12u Blaze Black on Mighty Casey Championship

    After losing early in bracket play the Blaze found themselves battling out of the losers bracket on Sunday. The Blaze had to win 6 games - the last 5 games back to back - in order to bring home the trophy. They took on the challenge and came out the Champions. We are so proud of how hard our girls worked coming from behind and keeping focused on the positive!!!

    Way to go BLAZE BLACK and a special thanks to Coach Bob Bove and Coach Eric Nuccio for all the time and dedication they give to this team -!!!! :trophy:

    Also a shout out to Winthrop University and the improvements they have made to their facilities. The netting between the fields kept the fans safe and made the games go alot quicker not having to chase foul balls. Great job Coach Cooke!

    What a day!!!

    What a L-O-N-G day for the Blaze Black 12u, after being at the ballfield at 7:30AM and leaving at 7:30PM. Congratulations ladies!!! You earned it!

    Also, Congratulations to the Carolina Attitude for winning their bracket championship. You have a great group of girls and families!

    For the Super Bracket Championship, the Charlotte Blaze Black won 5-3 over the Attitude. Our girls were exhausted at the end of the day after playing 6 games with maybe a 20 minute break between games.

    Thanks Coach Bove and Coach Eric for your time and committment.

    Wow Congrats !!


    I remember those days we played a one day tournament when I was coaching the Lady Blues, we started at 8:00 A.M. on Saturday and we left at 1:00 A.M Sunday in the morning on Mothers Day...I think we played 7 games that day....those were the days !!! We use to play over a 100 ball games a season (16 plus tournaments ), and our girls never complained one time !!

    Coach Bove

    Look at Coach Bove, leading the Ardrey Kelly Softball team four rounds deep in the high school playoffs and also winning championships with his Blaze team. I believe you are on a roll. Congratulations Coach and thanks for all you do.

    Guru, those were the days. I always hated when the curve would beat the blues, making you play all those games. Hee Hee

    We didn't do too bad those years 5~ States and 1 ~ World, and let's see in 2004 in Columbus,OH NSA World "A" we finished 5th out of 100 teams, must be the coaching !!---LOL--- Guru :laugh3:
