I guess that is why we play the games. The old axiom held true this weekend against Tuscola: "...good pitching shuts down good hitting.."

 

I think whoever wins at this point must play well, hit well, pitch well, coach well, even get a break or 2,,,,,,,,,,,,,, not to disrespect Eastern Wayne by no means because I know they're very good, but I agree with Braves I think Lake Norman has a "chance"...

 

ummm....You know we (I'm on the bandwagon) don't stand a chance. I just hope they will let LN show up before the coronation. Shoot, LN players would be lucky to make those teams mentioned, much less start.

There's been some discussion bandied around the Lake of starting this sensational freshman pitcher. The kid has 3 arms, but one of the appendages looks like a flipper---but the things he can do with that flipper are amazing! As the ball is released from either hand, he whips that flipper back and forth like a fan. He can make the ball go up or down...and if he times the backward fanning of the flipper he is able to make the ball corkscrew---the kid is amazing. The only reason he did not make All Conference is simple...politics! But that's for another thread.

 

You get to this stage of the game, anyone can beat anyone.

I spent many a summer day when I was a kid on Lake Norman when you could buy a lake front lot for under $4,000 and there was no need for a Lake Norman High School. Man I am showing my age.

 

If lake norman couldnt play with the best they wouldnt be where they are. Theyve been told so many times they wouldnt get past this team....or this team hits the ball to good for you to beat them..... or they have one strong pitcher who will shut you down..... LKN is not in the state championship for no reason guys...... And lomo is fresh and ready to go.

Everyone knows

Lake Norman has an outstanding team and deserves to be where they are. They earned it. Eastern Wayne is oustanding as well and they deserve to be where they are. The two best teams will be playing for it all just like the two best last year met in the finals.

 

Well said........both teams made it, both teams should be honored and proud to have made it to this point. Someone will win and someone will lose. So play ball!
