    I have no vested interest in either ND or AC but my prediction is that the team who scores more runs will win the game......It could very well come down to a best of three series. These two teams will meet in the first round and then whoever loses will, more than likely, bounce back and it will be time for another classic between these two powerhouse programs from the west and, quite possibly, a third game.

    I will one up your prediction and say that the team that scores the fewest runs will lose. :Lurking: Ha....these threads are always good for a laugh.

    I started this thread hoping that we could get some half way intelligent conversation about what should be a great softball game. I have made a serious mistake in judgement about the level of class on this board. Sorry for giving some mistfits a chance to rave.

    wise one, no apology needed, it happens......some members take the school spirit thing to extremes and hopefully, a little warning will take care of that. the intent of the thread was good, its just a little off course....

    I can't figure some people out. We have two great teams, 2 great programs, 2 great coaches, and 2 communities that really support their student athletes. Why some people can't see that it beyond me. I just go the word the game will begin at 5pm. Winner will play the winner of the East Game between Fuquay Varina and New Bern. The 2nd games will be a 7:30pm. Saturday could be a long day. I going to make a prediction, nobody will go undefeated this weekend.

    OK!! Wise One is this Carolina/Duke, Sox/Yankees, Michigan/Ohio State? Or is this just two great programs that are crossing paths in the final 4?

    And somehow I wonder if the East teams are being overlooked. Personally, I am looking forward to a great game and as they say, "that's why you play the game."
