Scorekeeping Question

    When scoring hits or errors. If a ground ball is hit in between two infielders. If the infielder catches the ball and drops while trying to throw how do you record? I know if she catches the ball and runner beats throw it is a hit but if she does not field cleanly can you say the runner would have beat throw anyway?

    Error! You can't assume that they would or wouldn't have thrown her out.

    I beg to differ. If, in the score keepers opinion, the runner would have beaten the throw then it should be ruled a hit.

    That's right... as long as the score keeper is not the batters momma
