I love the friendly bantering....................and the "bulletin board" stuff. Seriously, this should be a great series. It's fun to go back and forth about who will win and it's a long 4 days before the game begins.... but watch out for Lake Norman's "Flipper" Anderson...this kid is amazin'!

    I really mean this....

    Hi-Jack this from another thread.....

I really wish both teams luck. They have paid their dues.

The thing that has set Lake Norman apart from others all season,,, is they may not win the whole shabang, but they will have a quality starting pitcher for all 3 games (if it goes 3). Admittedly I don't know much about Eastern Wayne, but this series should be great for the fans, and it will be interesting to see which side comes up with the big hits. Call me a homer, but I'm taking Lake Norman.

    Lake Norman vs. Eastern Wayne

Easy Braves.......I'm certainly not saying Lake Norman doesn't have a chance. I have not even seen them play. I've seen Eastern Wayne play and Wooten and Gourley are very good (nothing new, everyone knows that). I plan to attend and would love to see a good game regardless of who wins!

Of course, I know you aren't, but if you don't pull for your eastern boys, you lose your membership to live in Wilson. I love the sandbaggin', the loyalties, the chest bumpin' and the pride shown for each school. Personally, Eastern Wayne may be the strongest team in the state in all classifications. That's what makes the playoffs fun..."any given Sunday"

EW has pitching as well! Frederick, Wooten, and Mozingo can get the job done!

Obviously EW has pitching, I'm sure they have their ace and several others VERY CAPABLE of getting the job done, or they wouldn't be here. All I'm saying is if you look at a team (ANY TEAM) and the first thing that jumps out at you is 2 guys who are tremendous hitters.....

... I'm just sayin the thing that jumps out at you about Lake Norman is their top 3 pitchers (Lomascola, Williams, Whitley). Theres just not much difference in those 3 on the mound, 2 will be pitching in college next year and one is only a junior. I think any LN fan would tell you this is the strength of their team.

... because that bunch can't hit a lick... :sifone:

You know our guys are trained to go up to the plate looking for a walk ! I just hope their pitchers can't throw too many strikes or we will be in big trouble. We are still trying to figure out how to win a game with no one in the starting 9 hitting over .200 and our pitcher throws a no hitter and the opposing team wont walk us ! But I guess we will go ahead and give it a try....:8: Good place to be, "no expectations", just happy to be there....
