    agree

don't have any stats to back this up, but it is pretty obvious that the hitting has picked up. Homers being blasted right and left it seems. I agree this makes it more interesting to watch.
It's been my observation that the slapping technique fails more than it succeeds.

Can we just go ahead and give it to Florida. Between Lawrie's throat slashing signs and Hamiltons illegal pitches and piss poor antics I can hardly bare to watch.

    stupid stuff

Well, sometimes a 20 yr old can do some stupid things. Will still be a fun to watch series. HR's right and left and good pitching and defense makes for a good all-around series. Certainly not boring.

    uh

Michele Smith , Olympian I know, she seems to know it all about softball. If a play goes bad , she always would have done it differently.

    Umpiring

Anybody agree that the umpiring behind the plate was "not so good" in the championship series? In game 1 the umpire was giving the Washington pitcher a good six inches off each side of the plate. For whatever reason the Florida pitcher couldn't figure that out. Could have easily been a 1-0 game if she had, because those pitches were unreachable. Then in game 2 I was initially very pleased with the zone, in fact, maybe a little too tight. Then the guy turned into the guy all coaches dislike...he changed his zone about the 3rd or 4th inning, started giving the inside pitch especially. For whatever reason J. Kruk and his co-horts didn't want to pick on the umpires, but I did overhear one of them say "that was way inside" as they went to commerical break. Don't like it when umpires are such a factor, they can change the game. Just call the zone!:N1amenHL2:
