    Nice try

    but its not going to work. Have you ever been to Wayne County? These are country boys that have been told their whole life that they would never win a state title. You know , not with Rocky Mount , CB Aycock , Wilson Fike , DH Conley and many other better programs in the east. You come from nowhere and your going nowhere. I heard that was painted on the inside of the home Dugout at Eastern Wayne. Their coach planned a field trip earlier in the year to Raleigh just so these boys could get a look at the big city. Most of the players were not allowed to attend because their parents feared for their safety in the big city.

    All this sandbaggin by folks just aint going to work. Both teams believe they are going to win and so do both sides fans. The people that will have the most fun at this event will be the people that are just baseball fans who really dont have a dog in the fight. The rest of you will be sitting there trying to act like your having fun as your about to **** your pants. :nailbite2: You see there are some benefits to getting knocked out early! Good luck to both teams.

    I tried to help by releasing the name of that secret weapon that tricky Lake Norman team has. Since they're itty bitty boys playing aginst those huge country strong young men, they have to resort to trckery. But it's going to be interesting to see how he performs away from "The Lake." The bad news is Zebulon has no lake or pool nearby to keep him wet...the good news is the Lake Norman folks got up some money to buy a portable shower :bath:

    Flipper Anderson...you heard it here first.

    Coach27 is right,,, so seriously, I have had the opportunity to see Lake Norman in person several times this season, and I videotaped them lake boys just because I figured they may get to a point that someone would need some scouting tips on them. Note: at the :30 clip, you will notice LKNbaseballfan instructing the proper way to beat out an infield hit...

    Eastern Wayne's Head Baseball coach Jabo Fulghum is the son of Legendary Greene Central Coach James "Rabbit" Fulghum. Rabbit Fulghum has the distinction of winning a state championship in five different decades.
    Rabbit's State Titles:
    1963 1A Basketball Title @ North Edgecombe HS!
    1972 3A Baseball Title @ Greene Central HS!
    1980 3A Baseball Title @ Greene Central HS!
    1987 2A Baseball Title @ Greene Central HS!
    1990 2A Baseball Title @ Greene Central HS!
    2000 2A Baseball Title @ Greene Central HS!

    Rabbit's last title in 2000 was also played in Zebulon's Five County Stadium!

    I remember this day well, and this was supposed to be a closed practice, so I'm going to have to revoke your get out of jail free card. Besides, I was teaching two things at one time; How to beat out an infield, slow roller and the head first slide....Have to make the most out of your time, when you coach J.V's...Oh, I went on Jenny Craig shortly after that and I'm down to 375 now so I could get into my speedo !!!!!!!!!

    I have heard more dispariging info for LN. It seems Flipper disappeared from his waterin hole in Lake Norman (possibly abducted by some EW faithful) and placed in a hog pen in eastern NC. Rumor has it he got frisky with a sow without protection and is showing signs of

    Whew............ you had me scared. That wasn't Flipper. He has a cousin who---well, let's just say---ain't too pretty. That bottle nose face is such, only a mother of a circus carny would love.

    Yep, that was Clipper. I bellieve the Anderson family have tried to run some ads for adoption, but it appears they have become frustrated and have taken measures into their own hands.

    In the meantime, Flipper is working on a new pitch. I'm just not at liberty to discuss it.
