    Rowan County 13
    South Rowan 12

    Rowan looks like they might get to go home early after seven innings, but SR fought back and extended the game. Rowan led 13-3 going into the seventh inning and nearly lost the game. Corbin Shive started and earned the win going 5. SR left the tying run on third in the ninth when they flew out to end the game. Rowan earns another league win to stay unbeaten in Area III South play. Rowan is off until Saturday when they travel to Wilkes.

    Dylan Walker started for South and earned the loss.

    Jon Crucitti hit a two-run bomb for RC.

    Rowan finished with five errors and South finished with four.

    Again we kicked it around and spotted Winston Salem 9 runs early. Alex Swim has been a bright spot going 4 for 5 tonight and is 14 for 19 early in the legion season.

    Post 36: 2-6 (2-5) will play at home against High Point Thursday.

    Not Thomasville, but High Point, score was 5-4, was not at game, out of town working.

    west boy, it was an exciting one for sure. We didn't see either teams best effort tonight but what we did see is both South Rowan and Rowan County can hit and both can run. I think the defensive issues will be worked out as you have guys in new places (Zubillaga at 3rd for South, Miclat back at second for Rowan) who have to get used to playing that position (possibly again). Also, both teams will help their pitchers in the outfield, as Michalec/Veal/Crucitti/Smith for Rowan and Shore/Bostian/Houston for South all cover a lot of ground. The difference tonight was a 3-error inning by South and Shive's experience, as he worked in and out of jams during his 5 or 6 innings of work.
