    Our Stadium is real nice!

    The front office may not look like much, but we got us a real nice stadium!
    We applied for one of those guv-ment stem-u-lus deals & got us a stadium built in no time. & we might not have a lake around here like you western folks, but we got ourself a pond for our mascot, Muddy the Mudcat & our mascot can actually stand up & walk around the stadium during ballgames (something about evolution) I hear. Your mascot Normie has to stay in the Lake & is only seen about once a year. What's up with that?

    All joking aside, congratulations to both Eastern Wayne & Lake Norman for making it to the title series!

    Is that the new Rocky Mount HS baseball field?...it doesn't surprise me.

    And let me be the 2nd to congratulate both teams for making it to the Championship. It takes many ingredients to get this far and both teams seem to have the right recipe. Great job guys!!!!

    Lake Norman wins game 1 by a 9-2 score.

    2 comments,,,, if EW got 2 runs off Lomascola, thats actually good for EW, we know they can swing the sticks, and most folks don't see 2nd base against Lomo much less 2 runs,,,, so maybe EW will get things going more offensively today.

    ...other thing is LN scoring 9 runs (I understand some was errors) but truthfully LN is pretty dangerous 1-9. With Lomo going for LN I'm hoping someone will tell me EW saved their ace for Game 2 (which wouldn't be a bad idea to setup a game 3).

    Either way, its only one game, still could be a lonnnnnnnng weekend. Glad to see beautiful weather in the forecast.

    Great baseball game. E. Wayne beats Lake Norman 3-0 on a 1 hitter. Scott Williams throws a 4 hitter through 6 for LKN but gets his first loss of the season. Has been a series of first losses for pitchers. E. Wayne looked like a totally different team on the defensive side of the ball today. LKN hit the ball pretty hard numerous times and E. Waynes outfield made several big plays to shut the door. Championship game to start at 5:00. Good luck to both sides, but I'm hoping for a LKN victory!!!!!!!:22_yikes:

    The score didn't reflect anything on the pitcher's part. 6 errors by EW and they didn't hit. Today's games were two good games by two good teams. Defense was much better. Congrats to LN for the win, and to both teams for playing hard!

    Congrats to Eastern Wayne also for a great season, nothing to hang heads about.
