    This one is going to pull for Arkansas -- Former Cary Bulls JR Legion player, Brett Eibner, is the 'Backs starting CF and one of their starting P's.

    If UNC wins tonight, 3 of the 4 teams will have kids from NC on it.

    UNC has like 20 of them.

    Eibner from Arkansas grew up in NC

    Hanover from North Davidson plays for LSU but he hasn't played any innings in Omaha.

    Anybody but Texas and Arizona State!

    I am afraid Coach Fox got a little greedy trying to squeeze 1 more inning from his starter...imo, his stubborness just blew a 4-0 lead. Elimination game, you have to play for today ...

    ASU rips it open.....12-4 after 7.

    how long did that top of 7th last?

    saw Roy but where's Herb Sendek for the Sun Devils?

    Eibner saved the game last night vs. Va. with the blast to tie in 9th, for the hogs.

    Now that right there is why we in NC can't get it all together. Its like a sickness. Ive seen this on so many levels here in NC. Not just at a D1 school here in NC. Ive seen it over and over. Someone, I guess, templated a way to be successful in baseball here in NC, and it was adapted as the gospel.

    Template: Lets ride our strongest player, or pitcher, hitter, ets. Thats one dimensional.

    Why not ride the team....Teams win championships not a strong player.

    Why can we not get this through our THICK NC skulls? Gosh darn it!

    Platoon the garsh darn thing when you get into the brackets. Go for the championship not a day to day win. Prepare for championship not just getting by day to day,

    I look at the systems here in NC that produce NC baseball players and they are above ALL else in the country. We have fantastic ball players at all levels here.

    Come on NC lets get serious!

    was impressed by some players in the CWS that were NOT drafted. Calhoun / ASU.

    that's neat.
