    hhhhmmmmm?

...first, sorry Nathan. Now, lets see, it costs maybe $5 to get into a tourn. thats all small price to pay for some thug who has no connection to any team in a tourn. but knows the easy pickins of very expensive gear.
Cmon folks, the path of least resistance applies in stealing too.
Why go to a mini mart and put a gun to the head of some guy named Patel only to walk away with $4-5 hundred when the same thug came waltz his butt into a park and snatch up 4-5 batbags like he's taking them to the trailer.
IMO, its your own job to protect what is yours if you want to keep it.

    I'm with Cheeze here

    I hate a THIEF or a LIAR
    Thief will lie to you
    Liar will steal from you

Chelsea SORRY for your loss !!!!!!

Actually we should catch the Thief and get the bat back and let Chelsea take out some frustations and batting practice on the culprit !!!!!
Sorry Comet me and Cheeze aren't so nice !!!

I hope you are not blaming the victim here. We should be able to leave our items for a few minutes. Sad this had to happen.

Sounds thataway to me. I'm glad to know that when some thug smashed the window in my truck and got away with the goods it was my fault.

Hope the opportunity for jury duty doesn't come up too often.

    Thanks Fish....

I have been beating myself up for this. With being laid off from my job back in Feb. and taking another one making half of what I used to simply because my daughter loves to play, I guess you hit it on the head. I have tried to do the right thing and trust my fellow man. Sadly, I do agree with Fish to a point. I should have put our things in the car, in the parking lot where anyone could have access to it. But last year, people had things taken from their cars at resturaunts, hotels, etc. Was it the same tournament? Also, with the gate crew willing to tackle parents for bringing in water, coolers, and drinks I felt like her stuff would be very safe near the fence where it had been all day. I am being serious. I watched parents nearly get run over by the older man at the gate just to see if a tag was on the cooler. Come on guys, it was mid 90's you charged $6 a head to get in. Families are losing jobs, carpooling, now this? I know that the rules were 2 team coolers only, but there were people using other team names to get a tag on their cooler. Quit charging so much to get in and get a water/ gatorade for a player. Do like some do and have water coolers in the dugouts with fresh water/ice between games.????Just a thought. Fish, I hope and pray you never have anything of value ever taking from you. It is amazing how people can do the right thing and still get the blame for someone stealing.

There are good people in this world that have compassion. The bat was replaced by a very nice softball family with a daughter playing in college. The Taylor family replaced the bat today and would not accept any payment other than a thank you. Patti, Thanks so much for such a heartfelt act!
