Nah...it's always been a team thing with JHR and next year will be no different. You'll have Seniors who are anxious and ready to step up and play hard and again, probably a few Juniors that will play a big role. He's just another cog in a wheel that makes things go round. 9 guys on the field taking it one game at a time, in a new conference with new teams and LOTS of traveling bus time...lol Every year is a rebuilding year at JHR and this year will be no different!

Sandbaggin 101: A class at Rose!

    Good morning, class!
I'm Professor Diesel. I will be teaching Sandbaggin 101 this period.

In order to receive a passing grade in this class you must be able to say the following phrase to people outside of Greenville & make them believe it. In my experience, if you say it enough times, people will actually start listening to you & you will be able to lure them into a false sense of security. (At least until the game starts)
    Now, the phrase:
Every year is a rebuilding year at J H Rose & this year will be no different!
Every year is a rebuilding year at J H Rose & this year will be no different!

Good Johnny! Well done Mary! Tom, you need more conviction! Don't worry. You'll get it.:book2: Now study hard. Coach Vincent will be here in a few minutes to give all of you a pep talk.

----and don't forget. Feed all opposing coaches and players a plateful of BBQ. Pat them on the back and tell them how good they are

Sounds like most years sr.'s start with a few jr.'s. per Deisel. Sounds like some of the new blood will need to step in and throw some next season. Or Chase will need to go 4/4 with 4hr's each game. lol

What seniors and juniors will pitch you think next year? Sounds like only one returner with game experience. Bryan Q.

The interesting thing about Rose is that everyone in the program talks like Diesel, from Coach Vincent on down BUT when the ump yells play ball they all expect to win- by any means necessary. They do not care how or who gets the credit. 15-14 or 1-0 they just keep finding ways to win.

The more I learn about Coach Vincent the more amazed I am by that program. How many HS coaches of his caliber watch every inning of every home game of his players in summer rec leagues?

We play against most of their kids in the summer and last week they roll out some kid I've never seen on the bump, coach said he only threw an inning or two last year, I'm feeling pretty good about the game. Kid is mid 80's with a nice hook.

This years rising juniors went to the SE Regional in BabeRuth all stars last summer, don't expect to see a talent drop. They replace good players you know with good players you haven't heard of yet.

As long as Coach V is there and they keep that youth feeder system loaded with talent Rose will be a factor- every year.
