    The PG WWBA 18U; East Cobb, GA kicks off today with some 200 teams.

    Not sure if I picked up on all of them but teams from the Carolinas include:

    South Charlotte Panthers - Runner Up finish in 2007 and top 8 finish in 2008 with many of the same 2009 players. Roster listed below.

    Akadema (IND) 0

    WP: Sean Pope (UNCC)

    Leading Hitters: Tyler Tewell (ASU) 3 - 4; 3B. Tyler Miller (USCU) 2 - 4. Ty Linton (UNC) 1 -3; HR, 3 RBI.

    Luke Bard (GT); Sean Pope and Scott Shipman combine for a shutout. Ty Linton hits a +400 ft. 3 run bomb to break it open and the Panthers win in a run rule game 8-0.

    Homeplate Chili Dogs are very good. That's the team SCP needs to beat.

    Canes Sr has a good pool

    Those Scout teams are unbelievably talented. Richmond Braves are the one's to watch:omg:

    TJ Estes (Anderson) was also 2-3 with RBI, a run and sweet 4-6-3 DP with Richie Shaffer.

    Canes Sr has a good pool

    Canes win 2-0
    Will Edgerton (UNCW) hit a two run blast (2-3 on the day). Brandon Crigger gets the win. Not sure they have enough pitching to get through the week but thats why they play the game.

    SCP.....man that team should be competitive all week...nothing but big time players on that roster.....I would hate to be the one to make out that lineup...on second thought how much fun would that be...all right boys draw a number out of the hat and thats how we will bat today.....good luck to all the NC teams......
