Brian Franklin steps down as McDowell AD

    Now that it is official that Coach Franklin has resigned as the AD at McDowell High does anybody have any predictions on who will get the AD job?

    Not a prediction but I wouldn't mind seeing it go to Coach Alex Smith of baseball. Keep in mind I have no idea weather he wants it or not but he's an upstanding man, who has built a solid baseball program and is well respected.

    Of course you could always bring back Church.

    I dont see the McDowell school board bringing back Church after what happened that led to his removal. Im sure Alex Smith is a good guy, but what the McDowell athletics department needs is a person that's not a head coach or an outsider in place to make decisions and not be biased towards the teams they coach.

    I here the new McDowell AD is former head baseball coach Dennis[Flea] Blake. If true I wish him the best.
