Caldwell vs Cherryville Playoff Thread

Congratulations it is now a series. Looked like we were going to snatch it away in the last couple of innings but caldwell pulled it out of the fire. Great pitching perfomance by both starters. The first base calls were suspect last night but he was bad both ways. I also think it is a little bush league for the PA man to take a shot at the Head coach from the press box. The only thing to do is for you all to load it up and brang your sorry hides to Cherryville tonight!!!!!

One of the best baseball atmospheres you'll ever witness, is going to watch a playoff series like this night in and night out. Will be surprised if it don't go 5 games, probably down to last at bat.

 

It really is two heavyweights going toe to toe...great game last night by Caldwell and Cherryville...EXTRA INNINGS...It don't get any better...I feel for the ones who left early.

Sumo...If Bobby Dale would quit showing his ass then the PA guy would'nt have anything to say. He was complaining when he got off the bus, before the game ever started.

PA guys have no role on the field

PA guys who interject themselves into the game on the field should be removed by the umpire. They have no role, but to announce the players and announce when the 50/50 is being passed around and when the hot pizza arrives. I've seen it before where the PA guy says things that are meant to affect the emotions of the opponent, and since the head controls the body his attempt to get in their heads is BUSH LEAGUE. Now, if the players can get into the heads of the opponent, more power to 'em.

 

WOW! What a ball game. I wish it would have been recorded. That's one you would like to pull out every once in a while and re-watch. It gave new meaning to both teams leaving it all on the field! Great job by both clubs. These guys have played each other four times this season and two of the games were decided by walk off Grand Slams. Are you kidding me????

Take US 321-N apprx 40 miles (past I-40, past Hickory, NC) to Granite Falls.
When you see Valley Chevrolet, Winn Dixie and Hardees turn LEFT on Pinewood Rd and go 0.2 mi
Turn LEFT at the next light (N Highland Ave) and go 0.7 mi
Take a LEFT on N Main and go apprx 0.2 mi and Granite Falls Middle School will be on the right.
Pass the school and take an immediate RIGHT up the hill behind the school.
