    Take what we can get

    Yes the Cary HS summer league has practice - but at least they are letting us play during the week - it originally looked like Cary would have to play all week day games away, so 8:00pm is better than nothing - although I liked Cayton HS, don't know why the Clayton Post plays at SSS.

    Kinston 12, Wilson 9

    Kinston stayed alive in the Area I East Division semifinals Wednesday, defeating Wilson Post 13 by a 12-9 score. Wilson still leads the series 2-1 headed back to Fleming Stadium on Thursday at 7 p.m. Kinston pounded out 18 hits to improve to 16-5, while Wilson, despite 15 hits, saw its 8-game winning streak snapped in slipping to 13-9.
