Copperheads start a four night home stand tonight. Wed. 7-8-09. We are in first place with a BIG game on Friday night against Tennessee Tornado. Copperheads have a one game lead over Tenn. so Fridays game is very big if we are in first place at the all-star break we will get to host our end of the year League Tornament at home. So PLEASE come out and support our team. I know BRAVES will be there....:REDanceFdans002HL::taz::welcome::welcome:

Theses games are a lot of fun. You have a chance to watch so many players that you've heard about, but have never seen play.

The Copperheads have a shortstop in Tommy Jablonski that you love to watch play--- a scrapper. You have local talent in Wesley Dozier, Shane Brown, Adam Waters...then you have Wesley McBride, Tarron Robinson, Brian Litwin and Landon Adams...just to name a few.

They have a pitcher in Clark Labitan that's fun to watch. He's a 4'2" pitcher with broad shoulders that sits around 90 with his fastball.

They play some great baseball and the weather at night has been perfect. Bring a chair and enjoy the night----you never know what may happen off the field. Between Ken Oliver and Todd Brown, those guys are likely to break out in a "moonwalk" just to honor Michael Jackson.

I don't know why this place isn't packed up at Hopewell. It's cheap to get in (free for kids), the food is the best you will find at a concession. The rumors, gossips and the 'other' conversations started by RedSoxFan is worth the price of admissions.

Seriously, it's fan friendly, the little kids go off and play baseball next to the field, the grownups stuff themselves with grilled hot dogs and hamburgers---the college coaches in attendance are always approachable, the games are usually well played.

Tonight's game will be fun---Friday night's game will be a civil war! You don't often get to see a rivalry in a summer college baseball game, but Friday night will be intense.

I hope everybody spreads the word about attending these games because it truly is the best bang for your buck to watch some of the best college baseball players around.

The only thing I ask is not to sit on your hands. Hoot---holler--- and scream at the umps and for the players. They deserve it!:smiley-patriotic-fl
