    #1 wilmington post 10 vs. #4 jacksonville post 265
    #2 morehead post 46 vs. #3 brunswick post 68

wilmington only lost one game during the regular season. morehead went 8-4, brunswick was 7-5, and jacksonville was 6-6.

    thats the best i've got.

the wood bat deal in marietta and the dirtbag stuff in greenville and legion's ridiculous double participation rule are going to put post 46 behind the 8 ball the rest of the way.

Morehead City won their series after North Brunswick didn't have
enough players show up for the third game. Wilmington won their
series in three. The two teams start their series tonight in
    Wilmington at 7 p.m.

Area II West: Duplin-Sampson vs. ???

Regular-season champ Hoke County and fourth-place Hope Mills were tied at a game apiece last week. The Fayetteville paper does not cover Legion baseball, the Raeford paper mentioned last week that Hoke and Hope Mills were going to play, and the Clinton paper aggressively covers every possible form of baseball and softball, from tee-ball to church-league softball, including more than ample coverage of summer high school league ball, but has nothing about Legion. Google has been no help on this one.
