    Bradly Love was the pitcher for Stanly that came on in relief. Adrian Shepard was the starter.

    and the season ending injuries to Dustin Myers, Alex Robertson and David Cook, all 3 starters and either playing college ball or going to play.

    It was another good year for Western. Wish I had another young man to send your way but I am tapped out now..

    My daughter throws like a guy but can't see her in the line up next year..

    You guy run a great program and I know both my boys ove rthe last 6 years have had a great time playing very competitive baseball. Great job again.

    Rowan leads series 2-1

    Rowan County 9
    Stanly County 3

    WP: Forrest Buchanan
    LP: Wes Hatley

    Rowan bounces back from their game two loss at Stanly to rout the visitors after trailing 2-0. A throwing error really opened the door for Rowan and they took advantage scoring five runs. Philip Miclat hit a two-run homer to give Rowan a 3-2 edge and Rowan added two more runs that inning. Forrest Buchanan went eight innings to earn the win. Stanly scored a run in the top of the first due to a Rowan error. Big win for Post 342 at home in front of a large, very loud crowd. Not sure who will go for Rowan Sunday night. Possibly Nick Smith or Cody Laws.

    Corbin Shive hit his ninth homer.

    yeah - I didn't see any regular season games but it was obvious West was missing some key contributors from a first place team.

    I believe High Point will be missing one of their better players next week (mission trip).

    Mooresville 14 South Rowan 7. Mooresville sweeps the series 3-0.
    Rowan Plays game 4 at Stanly County on Suday leading the series 2-1.

    Apparently according to the Salisbury Post this morning, last night, legion officials decided to make Mooresville play Randolph and the Rowan/ Stanly winner to play High Point. I don't know why they did this, but that's what it is now.

    Post must have been wrong...I understand the lower seed in the northern division plays the higher seed in the southern division and vice versa...Moors will play High Point at Mooresville Tuesday...
