My DD had an opportunity to fill in and play for John Corn and his Lady Lightning Gold team this weekend.
WOW! What cool classy bunch of kids on that team folks.
LW and I would like to make a public THANK YOU to all of ya'll.
The coaches know the game, the kids were awesome and made my DD welcome and the parents and grandparents could not have been more gracious in having us come on board.

We've made some new very good friends.

    Thanks!
    Marlin, and Ldub.

I think I would add Guest Playing to the "Things I Like Most About Softball" list. My DD and I had the best experiences guest playing this Spring...

Marlin, It was great having Landon on the field this past weekend in a LL uniform. She can really play the game and Chelsea sure enjoyed her company and fellowship. Thanks again for supporting the LL in Lynchburg, Landon. Good Luck to you in the future.

yea...biggest mistake I made in guiding my daughter was not to play for John, she was an older 14yo when she tried out for the LL and he was honest with her that she would be a utility player, filling in, dh, etc. She wanted to have more playing time so we went looking elsewhere...she would have learned so much from John and not have had the "experiences" she had playing for the other team...if you ever get a chance to play for John, even sub...grab it...he's a great teacher of the game and a good hearted person...
