    From an eye witness

South Charlotte Panthers RHP Nick Silva (2011, Wake Forest Rolesville HS, NC) tossed five exceptional innings against the Jack Cust Diamond Jacks Gold. Silva gave up one run on two hits and tallied three strikeouts. He also hit 86 mph and sat between 82-84 throughout.

    fun game to watch

The CBC Diamond Rats scored two runs in their last at bat to pull out a 3-2 victory today vs. a Northern Virginia team, NVTBA Stars. The game was a tight pitching duel and after 6 complete both teams combined had five hits and the Virginians led 2-1. Hunter Conley (Hopewell) allowed three singles and was strong through six innings and was cruising from the second inning on (4 K's and 3 walks). Bret Cash (Wren HS, Anderson SC) led off the final frame with a blast to the base of the centerfield wall for a double. Conley then muscled a broken bat single to center and the runner was held at third. Ryan Yoder (Central Cabarrus) plated the tying run with a groundout as Cash hustled home on contact. William Frazier (Charlotte Country Day delivered the go-ahead run with a single to center. Lee Harrison (Charlotte Country Day) was sharp in relief, striking out the first two batters and then inducing a game-ending groundout.

    CBC Diamond Rats.........................3.....5.....1
    NVTBA Stars................................2.....3.....1

    Leading Hitters:

    Hunter Conley 2-3, RBI
    Bret Cash 1-2, Double
    William Frazier 1-3, GW RBI

    Today's results

CBC Rats and Canes North win big and the Cubs toss a 4-0 shutout. Tyler Barnette tosses a two hitter and Dillon Joyner goes yard for the Cubbies.

Dirtbags win 5-1. They somehow seem to be "forgotten" every time an update is posted here...

That wasn't directed at you. Just a general comment. It does seem that way though. I like to track all the NC teams, and I find that they all get pretty thorough and in depth coverage here except the 'Bags...

I agree. It would seem with all the TBR members affiliated with the dirtbags we would get more info

Ummmm....that might be because actual people from the other teams are posting info. Give it a shot sometime and then we'll know how the Dbags are doing.

I agree its an outrage that we're missing updates on the Dirtbags. Braves, you might need to fire the TBR correspondent down there in Atlanta. You know, if we had sent Erin Roberts down there instead of that new woman, we wouldn't be having this problem:satana:

I was really just wondering if anyone had any info other than just the score. No need for all the smart-A comments...
