Thanks tri-flow---good to see you posting again.

To be honest, there is nothing he doesn't need. But for everybody that may want specifics, please contact "wade dog". Coach Wade would be happy to discuss with anyone what his program's priorities are.

Let me explain why I got involved. One of our member's (a friend) was asked to help with the program, so I contacted the coach to get an idea of what my friend was getting into. After discussing with Coach Wade about his program and the success he has had, he informed me that last year they didn't have a JV program because many of the kids didn't have shoes or equipment....and then finding out later that they played in 10 yo uniforms with white pants that are yellowed; the players had to share their gloves and bats...I thought this was outlandish. Now, if the coach didn't care that is one thing, but this is not the case. He gets no support from any booster club and the AD furnishes only baseballs for the season.

Given the circumstances, I felt this was a team that deserved better and if anyone deserved an opportunity for support, this is the one.

By the way, this is an eastern school, not a Charlotte school, as some people have assumed.

    Our school

I drove through the town in question today and made a detour past the school. It brought a smile to my face to think they will have Christmas in February when the coach hands out the uni's and equipment.

Hey Braves, i remember playing fall ball in old legion bottoms that were yellowed, muddied and stained. I washed those suckers in oxie, and anything else I could find that wouldn't make 'em fall apart. I bought the tops from raffle money the kids sold the tickests for. Even held rook tourneys to raise money so My kids could play. The kids didn't care about te uni's, they were just happy to play. I would be happy to donate $100. just let me know where to send it.

I'm still waiting to hear from some people--some on the board and some off.
Please contact me as soon as possible. We have a caravan going down there soon and I'd like to put as much as possible on it.

Hey guys--the coach will becoming through Charlotte this week. I'd like to gather up everything I can to give to him. There is still a wide wish-list of things he needs, so everything helps...gloves, balls, bats, shoes...anything a HS team needs, he can put to good use...or $$$$
