    Mooresville scores 3 runs in top of 8th...leading 5-2

    Pierce was replaced with one on no outs in 8th

    Wow, Mooresville looking good, sounds like bout time for Ross Whitley to be coming in.

    Btw, we should've sent Ranger and MarkinConcord down there with their internet connection, they've done a great job covering baseball this summer...

    Also thanks for the updates.

    I agree...Rocky Mount hits 2 run homer Lomo strikes out the next 2...then walks on the hits one...Gerber pitching for the last out or else

    Great win for Mooresville, not sure if any win is an upset at this level, but given who the opponent was in Rocky Mount, let's just say its a huge win.

    Big surprise to many, that first team sent home tomorrow will either be Shelby or Rocky Mount. Honestly, I picked both those teams to win on day 1.

    Game is now on internet. www.hrnb.com then go thru the WCSL 1590am site.

    Game is starting very late. It is now past 8:30 and the pre-game show is just getting started good. They have not said what time they expect first pitch.

    Game will be starting even later. During an extended opening ceremony, it sounds like at least one umpire and one player have fallen down, so obviously they are now dealing with a medical emergency on the field.

    WCSL is now reporting that the umpire is sitting up on the field, BUT the ambulance has come onto the field to assist with Cherryville player #9 Dustin Richardson, of West Lincoln HS. WCSL announcer says their source is the tournament director. Umpire is not identified yet.

    Sorry for this bad news, but if you are someone that prays, would you please take a moment to say a prayer for these two persons.

    Okay, Great News! WCSL announcer Richard Howell has gone to the field, and he spoke to Richardson in the ambulance, and reports that everything is gonna be okay!!! They guess it's just a case of standing in the same place for a long time. The guys at WCSL are now reporting that Richardson will have to go over to the hospital to get checked out for obvious reasons. I'm sure we have all seen or heard of this happening at weddings, etc.

    Game is really gonna start late. First Pitch 9:38pm. 2 hours and 08 minutes late.

    Watts is in RF,,, surprise, surprise... :whistling:

    Now, who was it that was typing about saving a #1.

    All kidding aside, I think Benefield started game one against Caldwell Co. , Burke Co. and Shelby.

    If I'm wrong, luigiboy, or SUMO will set me straight.
