    Impact World Series

Dirtbags beat a tough Tri-State Arsenal team 10-2 in the championship game. Brandon Browne and Jake Joyce combined on the mound. Desean Anderson was 3 for 3 in the game.

Dynamic Baseball World Series at ECU

Great opening night at the ECU Stadium. Cubs open tourney with a doubleheader sweep against the Wilson Bulldogs and Mid-Atlantic Mets.

Cubs 7 Bulldogs 6 in front of a great crowd of college scouts.
The Cubs got hits from Grant Shambley-double, Josh Lovick-2 singles, Patrick Roy single, a clutch two out two rbi from Justin Manning and Ryan Cramer-single. Rookie Davis started on the mound but reliever M. Peterson got credit for the win.
Doubles and rbi's in the game by Jake Strickland, Mitchell Wheeler and Jeremy Lucas for the Dawgs. Singles by Michael McLawhorn and Parker Helms. William Prince threw very well but the defense and the bullpen let him down in the end as the Bulldogs gave up 3 runs in the last inning.

Cubs 7 Mets 0 in front of at least a dozen radar guns.
Trevor Kelly tosses a one hit shutout. Chase McDonald hit a grand slam backside bomb and a two run double. The Mets starter Michael Mayers from Ohio hit 91 on the guns.

TK carried that no hitter into the 6th with 2 outs... blooped into short left... WHile the guns may have been on the kid from Ohio, Trevor stole the show in my opinion (not taking anything away from the other kid, cause he was really good for 3 innings...he's def a special talent. Made 90 look easy out of his hand)

The Dirtbags beat the Upstate Mavericks today 7-1 at beautiful USC Stadium.

NCST commits Jason Creasy and Logan Jernigan combined on a one hitter.

    Creasy is NASTY

I was very impressed with Creasy when I saw him at the Impact Pitcher and Catcher Showcase - I have been hoping to see him on the mound in a game and am bummed that I missed this performance.

Just a side note... this tournament started with a field of 12 teams and by Sunday morning only 6 six teams were left to play. While I'm at it... The Canes South team did not get one game in after two days in Boone and decided to leave after Andy posted the Sunday schedule that had teams playing before the Canes that had already played on Friday and Saturday. As it happened, games were postponed due to rain on Sunday and five other teams made the decision to bail.
If that was not bad enough Andy kept our tournament fee of $600 dollars and 15 weekend passes valued at $300. Sent emails with no avail... I know that surprises a lot of people.
    Great weekend in Boone!

Another first time poster registering for the sole purpose of bashing Andy Partin. Tournament fees are usually non-refundable, no matter the circumstances. Withdrawing from a tournament is no exception. To expect your tourney passes to be refunded because YOU withdrew? I wouldn't do it either.
