    Not so good tonight...

    1.2 innings, 5 hits, 3 ER, 1 HR allowed. No K's.

It appears he's human. He got tossed in the second for throwing behind a batter and didn't break 90 on the radar gun.

Every one has an off night, but perhaps he's getting a bit worn down. The innings are starting to mount up when you consider his age, 19. I would be surprised to see him in the show this year, but even more surprised it if doesn't happen in 2010.

Just saw this article this morning...

I clicked a link for the Tenn. Athletic Website and it took me to the CBS website.(?) Wouldn't you know, there was a front page cover shot of Madison with a really good article. Thought everybody would enjoy.

i maybe wrong about this but i was listening to the game when he was thrown out and you are right it probably was not his best. he had a few walks and a couple hits but i got the feeling from the announcer that he threw behind one batter early and when his brother came up later he was running his mouth at madison and he threw behind him on purpose and got automaticly thrown out. the announcer brought up that a batter in another game had been messing with him getting in the batters box really late after each pitch and madison had hit him. sounds like he dont take too much crap. even after his bad nite if he had a few more innings pitched he still would have the best era for starters in the eastern league.

Part of the game. Part for him to learn at the level he is at.

I bet he is smart. I bet that he will learn. I bet that he can do it.

At the level that he is approaching they will throw everything at him to check his mettle. This just shows me that he has the goods and the hitters are using anything that will work cause hitting him just aint working. Its going to be even tougher in the show. This young man will learn to choose his battles.

    He is being tested.
