Can someone tell me if a player is on a roster can they play as a guest player for another team. To clarify why I ask my dd's team is playing a very limited schedule this fall and I wanted to know if the tournaments her team is not playing in if another team had a need that particular weekend could she play?

it depends upon the rules of the sanctioning body she is playing in. i know that NSA opened up it roster after aug 1st in the past and a player could play for multiple teams during the fall season, but only on one team per tournament. i dont know about the rest, but my dd has played for four different teams as a pick up during the fall in the past.

This is known as the "crazy season" as girls often jump from team to team trying to find a home i guess.

hey Amanda Johnson, tell us NSA's rules on this and perhaps we will hear from ASA and the others as well.

The NSA rule is from Jan. 1st to the end of NSA World Series a player can be released 1 time prior to the state.
If a player plays in the State tournament she cannot be released until the World Series is over.
When all NSA World Series are over in the fall season players can play on different rosters.

    Hope this helps CHEESE...

NSA, AAU & IFA ROSTERS ARE OPEN, YOU CAN PLAY FOR ANY TEAM, JUST CAN NOT PLAY FOR 2 TEAMS IN ONE WEEKEND, ASA AND USSSA, I AM NOT SURE OF.
