The conference will be different this year too. The Me-CA 7 is now the I-Meck. I believe Robinson and Central Cabarrus are out and Lake Norman and Mooresville are in. So that would be:

    Hopewell
    Lake Norman
    Mallard Creek
    Mooresville
    North Meck
    Vance
    West Charlote

I didn't know it was formally announced--yes it is Chet Greeson--not Greason. He's is one of the finest coaches in the state. What he has accomplished at East Meck is incredible, considering what conference he was in and the demographics of his community. Hopewell is very fortunate because Coach Greeson has had many opportunities to relocate to other programs. It's obvious that he and Coach Billings have a great relationship.

I'll probably will have more opportunities to see David Brown now that he is at East Meck. I know he will land on his feet

Well, the conference is so much stronger with this group of teams. Hopewell returns a bevy of talent..pitching and hitting. I suspect they will be the team to beat.

It just came out in the Herald yesterday. I'm not sure CMS has made a formal announcement.

There should be some strong competition from the new teams. I'm thinking they may have had a few players on American Legion teams that did really well, too.

Great pickup for Hopewell HS,,, this is simply major, (to echo Braves on just how good a baseball man Chet Greeson is) its entirely possible that Hopewell don't even understand what they have yet. Coach Greeson truly is one of the best HS baseball minds (and coach) in the state. Not to slight East Meck at all, but give Chet a lot of talent like the Huntersville area has to offer, and just watch out...
