It doesn't seem to hurt the baseball kids; they have similar rules at those age levels.

actually, i believe this promotes pitching. one team cannot rely on one pitcher. when my dd was with the kings mtn crowd for dixie youth, we had four or five pitchers. remember, this is a rec league and everyone should get to play. most of the kids i know, male and female, started off in this kind of rec league.

As in other sanctions Baserunner can leave when pitcher releases the ball. Pitching is limited to 9 innings in consecutive innings.

Somebody must be doing something interesting; these teams are from all over the country! And this is 12U!

There are some really good players that play Babe Ruth. A couple that come to mind are Stephanie Williams, Pitt County, who is listed a number of times in the NCHSAA records; Jessica Rowland, still active, played standout ball in Babe Ruth. I believe her Henderson team reached the World Series in PA.

Wilders Grove in Raleigh used to play Babe Ruth. Don't know if that's still the case. Seems I remember back then it consisted of the all-stars of Wilders Grove. If I were to rank them skill-wise I would say they would be entry-level TB at the 16U level. Somewhat similar to PONY but tighter organizational rules I think.

It is something I would highly recommend if there was a local league.

Both Wilson Co. and Kinston/Lenoir ( who won state) have qualified to advance to the 6 team double elimination round.
